Well, I had a great time with the 73 at our local car show Friday Night. Since it was on a Friday, I took the 73 to work which then brought a lot of attention from co-workers. It sure was fun to see some of them shocked to know I built it and for some of them to see the "final" completed car I have been talking about. Anyways, the car show was a blast and had tons of questions but since my class was very tough and it was participant voting (which I hate since it all depends on who you know) I did not win any trophies, but none the less, it was still fun. Of course, I am not completely done with the 73 but at least I completed my goal by entering this show with the 73!Originally posted by meissen View Post

Looks great Derek.
My first '73 was the same color as your friends. Any idea where it is from? Mine was a '73 RS LT Z28, NOM 375hp 350, Auto with Hurst Lightning Rods and a T400. Sold it about 1989.
I se he has '80 fender vents in it. Any other pics of how those look? I have '79 vents I always wanted to put in mine but people keep talking me out of it.Last edited by zmanrc; June 2nd, 2008, 08:03 AM.'73 Z28 388 Stroker, M22 Rockcrusher 4 speed

Thanks guys, it sure is fun.
Ray, that is Dueling73s from Nastyz28.com. He has had that 73 for a long time. I know it was originally an RS but I don't think it was a Z28 (rolling chassis). He picked it up at Jefferson probably about 10 years ago? We did look at his cowl tag to see what color it was originally, it was 56 Chamois. I don't remember him talking about it having hurst lightning rods but he did say that who ever had really hacked out the package tray down to where there was nothing left!Originally posted by zmanrc View PostLooks great Derek.

One thing neat about the vents on the side. He was able to put a good bunch of relays and wiring behind those vents, he has them attached with springs so removing is possible easily, this way he has good access to the wiring. He did an awesome job on the whole car. I personally would not pt the vents on the side but if i did, it would be with the 81 vents. He also installed the 81 "scoop" on his hood too. I know I have some other pics I post on here for you.WMCC Member (well, I get the newsletter)

Why are all my photos gone? Am I the only one who can't see them? Do I need to repost them? I went to show a friend this thread and felt stupid that my pictures were all gone.WMCC Member (well, I get the newsletter)
