I hear ya about the steering wheel, I think the steering wheel was the first thing I bought for this car, no kidding, and now the project has turned a bit from what I originally wanted so I too think the steering wheel needs to change. Well, I finally made some progress that is worth posting. Lately the past weekends of working on my 73 have consisted of finishing miscelanious items that would not be worth posting.
Anyways, back on topic, I got rid of my "racing" style seats (corbeaus) and bought some Scat Procar Rally 1000 since they look retro but yet still give that modern feel. However before I installed my new seats, I had to finish up the shifter boot and ring. The ring is from a 69 Camaro 4-speed car and the boot was from a late second gen. In order to make the ring fit a second gen tunnel, I had to fab up a flat plate that straddled the arched tunnel thus giving me a flat surface to mount the 1st gen ring too. I think it turned out great. Please note, the interior is far from being clean, I need to detail it yet. Oh, I forgot to mention, I will not be using a console so this is it! I may ditch the rubber boot and go with a leather style boot. We'll see.

I hear ya! I was all set to have my dad take a video while I was out on the road only to find that my camera's video feature was not working.
