Lots of nice work there but MAN I HATE that color!!!! Too many bad memories of the 70's! I think it's because it reminds me of the shag carpeting my parents had in their living room when I was a kid and the color of the interior of my 1st car!

Thanks Everyone, I look forward to everyweekend I can work on this car, I love it! There are some areas I would want to change but that is just part of the learning process.
Thanks Doug, I have been working on this car since March of 04, non stop! Haha. I have driven this car up and down my parents driveway, it runs great and sounds good too!Originally posted by WMCC Doug View PostHey Derek!
Those pics look awesome. You are definately ahead of us. Looks like you are nearly done. Have you fired it up yet?
My engine and transmission came home today. Dave K. had them. Inspected the 6 speed and gave it a clean bill of health. Also installed new valve springs and roller rockers. We test fit the hydraulic clutch cylinder today and have that about done. We used the ATS cylinder mount and it worked great. We also have an ATS transmission cross member and hope to to some test fitting of the engine/trans within a week or so.
Did you have to modify your transmission tunnel or make the shifter hole bigger to fit the trans? We'll be using the stock 4 speed console.
When installing my T56, I was able to modify a stock second gen T400 cross member, ATS did not have theirs out at that time, in doing so, I was able to keep a 4deg angle on the whole assembly and did NOT have to cut my tranny tunnel, I did start with an auto tranny tunnel and therefore was able to locate the shifter opening where ever I needed it. I thought you are running a T56, right? If so, the stock 4-speed opening is not going to work at all, the opening needs to be back further and more center on the tunnel.

Wow, sexy car! I like the LT4 in there! I'd like to keep my car stock(ish) and want to get an old Nova or C10 and put in a modern motor.
