  • New Forum?

I really miss having a forum like the good ole' days.

What if I created a general discussion forum? We could have a car, motorcycle, video game, etc, sections.

Is this something you guys would be interested in? Please be honest because I really would rather not spend the money and time if you don't plan on using it but if you do like the idea I'll move forward with it.

Chad, I hate to say it, but the majority of us on here nowadays don't remember the "good ole days" so we don't know what it is that you're missing. Can you please explain a little bit more? I can't envision what MiFBody doesn't already offer in terms of a forum.

        I would use it.

Here is fine too, but I do like the idea of a "rebirthed" ProjectCamaro.

I think you're going to be up against some stiff competition as far as national forums are concerned. That's honestly why I haven't jumped into that arena. Between LS1Tech, CamaroZ28, LS1LT1, LTxTech, ModernCamaro, Camaro5, 5thgen.com, FirebirdNation, 3rdgen.org, NastyZ28.com, PlanetLSx, Camaro5150 (I still don't understand what the numbers represent and that bugs the crap out of me ), etc etc the competition is quite fierce. Not to mention InternetBrands buying all the really successful ones makes competing with their resources for members is hard.

That said - I understand the PC guys wanting a true home instead of just a subforum on our Michigan-centric site. I'm not offended if you guys decide to create a new site, but just remember I'm offering you guys a free alternative.

I had posted a thread before but I don't think anyone saw it - if you guys want I can add a PC.com specific tab on the "Top Statistics" so it'd be easier for you guys to see replies to your forum.

Wow - that's quite the obscure reference for a forum name.

Section 5150 is a section of the California Welfare and Institutions Code (specifically, the Lanterman–Petris–Short Act or "LPS") which allows a qualified officer or clinician to involuntarily confine a person deemed to have a mental disorder that makes them a danger to him or her self, and/or others and/or gravely disabled.

Yes, quoting California state law in a song title would definitely qualify as obscure.

Honestly IMO, not worth it. although I don't know the hype about pc because I wasn't ever a member but mifbody is a great place and isn't filled with the tools on ls1tech and as Nate mentioned there is a sub forum dedicated for it. Honestly, until a few guys posted up, it's been awhile since I have seen anyone post in it. Seems like there are only a few guys floating around from pc.

Just IMO. Don't take it personally.

                        side note: hey Kyle

I'd keep it setup how we have it, though I wouldn't mind moving the PC threads to another tab... 99.9% of the people on this site know nothing about PC. The only PC referenced threads seem to be about catching up with old friends... and those only appear every 6 months.

since we have people from all over the state, and world i dont see why the old pc mambers couldnt just reunite here. cheaper and easier plus it adds to our whole mifbody family, meet and greats, cruises etc. plus the vast amount of knowledge is already here so you dont have to start up a new site and work your way up, and for the most part we are alway pretty open minded people and those of us that arent may say something is ricerriffic but understand we have no control of what people do to their cars

PC has their own tab now so that should make it much easier to keep track of.

intro thread should be background of PC's history so we all have a clue whats going on?
