                !

Alright I said I would post some more pictures so here goes.

First thing is a picture of my package tray. This was a crappy piece of cardboard like material that had a second speaker hole cut into it because the car only had one 6x9 originally. For the past half year it has been left as this crappy looking board with an extra hole so we covered it with a fabric i dunno what it is and then put my new speaker grills on top of it. Looks alot better than the board that was in there even though it's still there ha. It's kinda a temporary fix but temporary as in like for a few years until I can make a new package tray.

Next thing we did was the trunk. The trunk was in prefect condition when we got the car, it was just bare. I finally bit the bullet and paid for a carpet kit and then we had another project. Between my rear seats and the trunk area there is a metal type plate. On top of that there is some sort of insulation material (should have taken a picture but yeah haha didn't) anyways this material had holes in it from the previous owner so if the rear seat was not in you could look through the trunk all the way through the car. We fixed this problem by using a type of particle board and covered it with the same fabric that was used on the package tray. This finished off the trunk and made things look very clean.

Now on to what I actually did today. I didn't get to the car till about three due to weather and some other things that I needed to do. It was too humid to paint the frame rails like I wanted to so I decided to detail it up for the show tomorrow. I realized I have not polished my wheels in a while and man did they need it. I tried to post before and after but it's kinda hard to tell haha. All i can say is one thing. I need a freakin powerball

                before

                after

Each wheel took me about a half an hour to polish them by hand and I know my arm is going to hurt tomorrow

Then lastly I hit the whole car with some mother's detailer spray that I personally have never used before and it is probably the best detailer that I have ever used. Would recommend it to anyone. Bunch of reflection pictures and one of the side profiles you can see my mom's car in the driveway.

Alright so sorry about the novel of a post but I decided to take the time to type it all out. I don't get to my car much so I take advantage when I can. I will post some pictures from the car show tomorrow and cruise night but again that won't be until about 11 or later. enjoy!

Nice Looking Malibu. I have a 78 Myself. I love the car. I have used the Mothers detailer, but my new favorite is the Turtle Wax Ice synthetic detailer. I had seen some other guys use it and man does it work great. You definitely need a mini power ball too, it saves your shoulders. Your car looks real good. Is that Goodmark Cowl hood you have ?

Yeah it's a 2.5 inch all steel cowl from goodmark, never had to adjust anything just bolted it on. works great.

Oh and I got my light situation resolved. The problem with the rear lights was that the ground was not connected on them. Not sure how long I have been without lights but it was an easy fix. I also replaced both headlights today since one was burnt out and all in all I was done with the car after about 30 mintues. Still to much humidity to paint the frame rails so I am not quite sure when I will get that done.
