Firebird Club Staff Nominations.

Let us have anyone who is interested in a board position in the club please speak up. Also any nominations for who will fill each role in the new club would be more than welcome. Also if possible, please provide those of us who have not met you yet with some basic details on what you think the position should entail and what you can bring to the table. Everyone please give some suggestions. Thanks!

Ben has definately put the most work into it....ditto that.

IMO, As far as the President position is concerned i belive that you (Ben) should fill that position as the founding member of the Firebird Club.


As far as other positions I don't know enough people personally to know which would be best to fill the other positions.

Personally i can do some web work i have been working on some concept designs which i shall post when i get a few more done. Whoever does the website should also do the newsletter as well since the item on the web will be the same info in the newsletter.

What does a Membership Chair Person do?
I might be able to throw my hat in the ring for that one, depending on what it does.

A Membership Chairperson has an awesome job. Its like being a PR person. Basically you facilitate the recruitment of new members and keeping current members active. I would think a recruiter should be personable and professional. Recruiting is probably the most fun of the jobs imo because you get to interact with new people and new situations everyday. Also you get almost instant feedback. Basically if you were in this position you would be the "salesman" of the group.

I would like to nominate the following people for staff positions:

Jeff is very active on mifbody and is a prime resource for this club, I would like to nominate Jeff for VP East

David has been awesome. He has been one of the biggest driving forces for this club. I would like to nominate him for Web Publications and or Newsletter Editor or if he is interested I think he would make a fine West MI VP

I think either Eric or Angie or both would make a great membership chairs. I have not had the chance to meet Eric yet but he seems to be a good man. I have met Angie several times and I have found her to be very open and independant. Both would be fine choices.

We need some more nominations! Lets get this thing to the top and try to get people nominating. We've got a lot of positions to fill.

We need secretaries, photographers, VP's, treasurers, and membership recruiters!!!

I have not heard much response from the Western side of the state. Once we have a governing council, we can move on to the actual good stuff and finalize the business end of this. I am waiting to register with the state until I have a staff assembled. So get nominating people!

But my expectations are simple. Get people involved and maybe find ways to keep them that way. Even if you just get them to come to a meet or visit our website. That is the biggest part and I am sure you will find will be the hardest.
