  • MIFC: 28th street cruise

Another member informed me about the 28th Street Cruise in Wyoming, MI south of Grand Rapids. It is a great event for those that lives on the west side of Michigan and could not attend Back to the Bricks or Woodward. If you plan on attending please reply and maybe we can get a group to meet up over there.

I myself will not be attending, but I will help get the guys on facebook connected with those on Mifbody and vice versa to set something up.

Missy and I have our rooms booked for Friday and Saturday night. We have been going for years and make a weekend out of it. Then on Sunday we will head over to The Gilmore Car Museum.

We have not decided which car to take the Hawk or the Super.

It depends on the weather forecast on thursday which I take. If the weather looks like it maybe wet the Buick Super works better. We took the Hawk the last three years.

Jim what a great place to work for. We have been to the Gilmore 6 or 7 times. Last time we were there was 3 or 4 years ago. They have several new exhibits since we visited. Plus on Sunday the Pierce Arrow and Peerless car club is going to be there. We are car nuts what else can you say.

Dragon thanks for the relay. But we just don't do Facebook. You know how old folks are, set in their ways.

Last year at the intersection 28th and Clyde Park, cops shut down the lights and manually directed the cars. Cars were revving their engines hard with the cops right in front of them, didn't even care. Just don't be stupid and they'll smile and leave you alone.

I'm Tom Martin on the facebook page. I've been slacking on this website unfortunitley. Work has been hectic. Everything seems to be coming together on the car so it's a most definitly a "go" for me as long as I don't have catastrohpic faliure.

Missy and I will be driving a white Buick Super. A buddy of mine is driving a maroon Monte Carlo and most likely will be parked by us. We will park across from Bergers, so we can look at some chevy's on Friday and Saturday. We will also be at Rogers Plaza, bunch of fun stuff going on there. So if anyone from MIFC is there hope to meet and say hello.

Also Hop Cats, GR Brewery, Gippers and a few other places. Lots to do and see in GR.
