MIFC: Woodward Dream Cruise

Would any MIFC members be interested in meet up at the Kingswood Square Parking lot in front of Staples during the Dream Cruise? If so we can meet up there, see each others Firebirds, hang out, and even cruise down woodward together if the majority is up for it.

I haven't gone down on a Saturday fro quite a few years. Just too much chaos for me, although the site you are proposing is a pretty good one. That northern loop through Pontiac doesn't get as bad as points further south.

I will probably go out there sometime mid-week. Wednesday has been my favorite day down there for quite a while. Plenty of great cars to see, you can actually cruise, or park, as you desire.

Saturday is a pretty tough day to cruise Woodward. I do agree with you that the weekdays are pretty good. I might head down on a weekday if I have the time. I cruised woodward on a Saturday twice so far. I don't mind the traffic because there is a lot of cool cars to look at parked and around you. It is a bummer when you are surrounded by modern family cars and a party bus. That happened to me last year for a while.

Not sure we are going to WWDC this year, but if we do will show up at Kingswood Square. We parked there the last two years after a couple passes on Woodward, it is works for us as you can get out and back in.

Starting to look like it will be a pretty good turn out.

Looks like I'll be out there tomorrow around noontime with some guys from work. Also again in the evening, at least up north near Fuddruckers. Hope to see a few Firebirds out there.

Been out the last two nights. Lots of nice stuff cruising around. Actually, traffic was not too bad last night, by Dream Cruise stds. Hard to beat the weather from the last couple of nights.

But, having driven all that time, and burned through two tanks of gas, and added an alarming amount of (enjoyable) miles (I'm at 53,9xx....54k is right around the corner! ), I think I'll find someplace to park this evening, and let the Cruise come to me, probably up at the Staples parking lot.

Anyone else planning on being out tonight?
