You all should have seen him earlier. . . Took him outside without the leash, and he stayed by my side the whole time. I'll keep working with him, and by the next event, you won't believe the improvement. Heck, I've only had him since Friday, and I can't believe the improvements he's making already.Originally posted by the_dragon View PostAgreed. He was the most well behaved boxer I have ever seen.
Uploading pics to PhotoBucket now, I'll post a new thread when they are all ready. Just using the same 35 or so pics I put on FB, since a lot of the other 65 are duplicates or didn't turn out for one reason or another. I started looking at new cameras today also, I'm hoping to have at least a new camera body by this time next year. The Pentax DSLR I was shooting with at the M&G is only a 6.1MP, I'm hoping to get something in the 16-18MP range. Image quality is negligible for online use, but if I wanted to have anything printed, the 6.1MP Pentax can only handle about an 11" print, anything larger, and I have to upscale and sharpen in Photoshop. I would just like something that can handle being made into a poster, if I ever take any pictures that I think are worth blowing up that large.
Either way, pics will be posted soon.Nick H.

I am not sure how much more well behaved he can get, especially for a pup. When I get a dog of my own one day I would like him to be like Dexter. He actually changed my mind about getting a boxer because I use to tell my gf I don't want a boxer if we ever got a dog.Originally posted by 93formulalt1 View PostYou all should have seen him earlier. . . He has a few behavior issues I'm working on resolving, such as separation anxiety, poor manners off-leash, and he is unable to respond to commands given in an environment with any kind of distractions. I'd like to be able to take him out to play, and not worry about him running off toward the road like he did this morning.Originally posted by the_dragon View PostI am not sure how much more well behaved he can get, especially for a pup. Not to mention, I had him on a leash all day Saturday, if I hadn't, things would have been dramatically different.Nick H.

I see. It is cool that you rescued him and are taking the time to train him. Maybe taking him to obedience school would help. It helped with my family's dog and made him pretty responsive to commands and he is well behaved. I use to feel like it was a waste of time and money, but thinking of how he acts it actually helped a bit.Originally posted by 93formulalt1 View PostHe has a few behavior issues I'm working on resolving, such as separation anxiety, poor manners off-leash, and he is unable to respond to commands given in an environment with any kind of distractions.
