Plans are moving forward for the meet and greet, gathering trophies, planning parking, and making sure we have everything sourced and prepared for setup. This is going to be awesome, I want this to be a meet and greet to remember.

That is very cool and it sounds like everyone will have a great time at it.

Mike, I have some bad news . . . I have a conflict on this day with another activity that I can't get out of . . . my son's Scout pack is doing an all-day activity that day, and since I am the pack leader I really have to go . . . the earliest I might be able to make it to your place would be around 5 pm. I will still try to make it to your place if I can; I may not be able to bring the T/A though.

Arrrgh... looks like I'm gonna miss it after all. Got a race in Flint that day. At least I'm out burning rubber and proving Pontiac performance right? If my heat is an early one, maybe I can make a late arrival.

Sadly, this weekend is out for me, too. I have like 3 open weekends all summer, and this isn't one of them. It's a shame too, as I was hoping to meet some fellow owners, and learn a few things.

I hope everyone has a great time. Maybe I'll have a chance to meet up at the next event. A pre-Woodward gathering?

I am extremely bummed, but I will be on my family's annual trip Up North, beginning on Friday.

Well, I guess that's just one less damn Camaro, messing up the gene pool!

Hmmm. At this rate, I find myself in an awkward spot. Do I reschedule the event in order to make sure that people can make it, or continue on with a lower attendance? After all, this event is for you guys, not me. Is there a more suitable date that we can select for this event? I'm open to suggestions. none of the preparations I have made are locked into a particular time frame.

I can certainly understand your concern. And I don't think there's a "right" answer.

For me, married with two teenage kids involved in assorted activities...there just are not many idle weekends in summer. Personally, I do intend to make it to some sort of club event this summer, just not sure what it will be. I can't make this weekends show, and now I'll miss yours as well, but both are for events that I cannot miss / reschedule (one military for my son, the other a 50th wedding anniv.). So much to do, so little time.

You've already set a date, I say stick with it. It's impossible to pick a 'perfect' day.

x2 . . . there is no weekend where you will get everyone to come. I'd stick with it, at least for now.

Also, it turns out my wife will be back in town on the 21st, so I may be able to pull off missing 1 day of the scout camp and coming to this . . . as she can possibly go in my stead . . . will know more info next week.
