Update on MIFC activities

Well, spring is almost upon us, and I know most of us are chomping at the bit to get our cars out. I know I am!

So whats the news? Well, I am close to finalizing a location for our first Meet and Greet, which will probably be in the Jackson area. Once I have the location cemented, I will announce a date and time. I'm thinking BBQ style, I will be serving dogs and burgers, BYOB. More details to follow...

Barry has also verified that we WILL be judging Camarofest once again this year, so anyone interested in judging send me a PM. Yes, I realize this is months in advance, but I want to try to get a head count of interested parties as soon as possible. Its a blast, we run it differently than years past, and my goal this year is to get a record EIGHT Firebirds or Trans Ams (along with the token Camaro) parked along judges row. I would also like to get all member judges this year rather than pulling in friends and families.

I also want to organize a cruise into the Mifbody Meet and Greet, so let me know who is going and we will pick a location to meet up at so we can all arrive together. My intention is to have new club T-shirts done before then so we can all show our colors at the show.

As always, suggestions or input are welcome! I even hear tell that there may be TWO ex-presidents attending the show with us this year...

The intention is to try to stake out the row next to the driveway if we can, that corner has been our unofficial squat a couple of times. If we all arrive together, heck yeah, we all park together!

Looking forward to this season and spending time with you guys! Please let me know what I can do to help Mike. So any ideas where the Cruise to the M&G should start? Also, we could theoretically get an early start and help set up. I would love to see MIFC being able to help out at the meet and greet since Mifbody is the wellspring of sorts for us.

Off topic but do you still have the Firehawk? Last I can remember is that you were selling it or going to part it out. It is a really good looking car especially for a 97. I remember it from the meet and greet in 2012 because I parked right next to it.

On topic for cruising into the Meet & Greet. We have members that comes in from all directions to Milford. Would it be best to just meet up at the walmart off of Milford Road and cruise in together that way?

Kind of what I was thinking, get a couple of "mini" cruises coming from Jackson, Flint, Etc that meet at a central location like the New Hudson Walmart, and cruise in from there.

Who all will be going down from Flint? I can meet at the Owen Rd. Walmart or any point North to Grand Blanc Rd.
