Hmmm. I suppose I could always just borrow my dads 79 Trans Am. Though the theft idea might be easier to deal with...

Only problem with inviting a real, live, running, fire-breathing WS6 to join us is, it may make a bunch of Camaros a little nervous!

Camaro card has been revoked sir. Aint sqeered of no bird....

        22nd Annual Camaro Superfest 2013
        July 5-7th 2013
        Riverside Park
        Ypsilanti, MI

In the past, the judges have been invited to participate in the event on Friday evenings, and this year is no different. Whatever the event is, be it a trip to Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI or a Poker Run, Drive-In Movie, etc., you can rest assured that your Firebird will be more than welcome to attend. (You just have to park in the back with all the rest of the cool kids).

As far as the actual judging is concerned, here is our schedule:

        Saturday, July 6th, 2013:
        8:00am-Judges arrive
8:30am-Briefing with Nick Hudson and Barry Hensel-Judging procedures and Q&A
        9:00am-Judging Lanes Open
12:00pm-Judging Lanes Close for Lunch Break (Lunch is provided)
        1:00pm-Judging Lanes Reopen
        4:00pm-Judging Lanes Close

        Sunday, July 7th, 2013
        9:00am-Judging Lanes Open
        12:00pm-Judging Lanes Close
12:00pm-2:00pm-"Judges' Choice" Selection (usually done before 2pm, just allowing some breathing room)
2:00pm-MIFC Meeting/Dinner off-site (historically we choose a restaurant with A/C nearby. This meal is not provided by the Camaro Club or MIFC, you buy your own)

I'm looking forward to having another excellent group of judges to contribute to the ongoing success of Camaro Superfest, and the continuing friendship between the EMCC and MIFC. For more details, or to commit to participating BOTH DAYS, please send me a PM with your contact info.

        Nicholas Hudson
        President-Michigan Firebird Club

        Current Judges:
        Nick H. (93formulalt1)
        Mike S. (Akodo)
        Kevin L. (KTL711)
        Mike M. (MikeM)

I didn't forget about you, I was going to talk to you next Friday about it. I'll go ahead and add you to the list!

Also had another judge commit to attending this year.

I was looking for a Pooh bear graphic I could put up to counter Brent's, and this one was so hilarious (to me anyway) that I had to use it. That's not how I envision displaying Eeyore in my car at the show, however...

Well, I have some bad news. . .

I was unable to get the weekend off work, and will be unable to make it this year. Special event on the other side of the state, the boss has laid claim to my entire staff, and I'm stuck working. I tried my best, but it's out of my hands.

So, I have asked Mike (Akodo) to take over in my place. I will still do my best to make sure everyone is situated before the actual event, but Mike will be handling everything at CSF. If I can possibly get away long enough to make the trip home to catch the tail end, I will, but I highly doubt it.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

Well, you gotta do what you gotta do, especially since you just got a raise and a promotion. Mike will definitely keep us organized and in line, we'll just have to make sure he doesn't have his phone set up to play any music...

Don't worry guys, I know I can't replace Nick, but I will try to make the transfer of power as seamless as possible. Now, ALL BOW DOWN TO ME!!!!!....errr... I mean... Lets all have fun, and and make this as great or better than the last one. After I get the information from Nick, I will do a quick fly by of the committed judges just to verify where we are, then I will turn my attention to filling any other slots. I don't expect much with the way the event is run to change, other than I will provide donuts and OJ on Saturday, cause thats what us fat men do, and I am working on putting together a special "incentive" for those of us who actually bring our Birds, or in Kevins case Camaros, to the show. My goal is still to have at least 5 Birds lined up next to the judges tent, I think the best I have seen so far is two.

As for MUSIC... Yeah, not so much.

That's right . . . you will actually have a 'Bird at the show this year!!

For Kevin, we could get a screaming chicken hood sticker made, and slap it on his car before the show starts . . . who's with me??

Bri contacted me last year the day of the event, he was unavailable to contact for a week or two prior, but I'm sure he'll be interested in participating this year.

Haven't heard from Vinnie K, but it would be nice to have him out again, we had a blast the last time he judged with us.
