  • 2012 MIFC Membership Thread

Since we are actively planning events, finally getting our act together, and starting to gain some attention in the f-body world, I thought it would be a fitting time to offer membership to anyone who is interested in joining us!

    A few details:

Members must own a Pontiac Firebird, Trans Am, or Formula. Any year is acceptable. Project cars are welcome. Family members of the registered owners of the vehicles are welcome, as long as they will be actively participating in club events.

There are NO DUES currently. We have discussed the possibility of charging dues at a later point in time, but for now, there will be no financial obligation required to become a member.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Michigan Firebird Club, please PM me with the following information:

    Name (First & Last)
    Email Address
    Phone Number
    MIFBody Username
Year and model of vehicle (ex. 99 Trans Am WS6)

I may need more information at some point (such as license plate numbers to identify vehicles at shows, emergency contact info, etc.), but for now, the above will be sufficient.

We currently have 8 members, including 3 "honorary members" who do not own Firebirds, but have proven their dedication to the Michigan Firebird Club through hard work and long hours. I know there are more I'm missing, but in my transition into my current position as MIFC President, I was not given any kind of member list or anything, so I'm starting from scratch here.

    Current Members:
    Nick H. (93formulalt1)
    Ben S. (phoenix_rising)
    Mike S. (Akodo)
    Mike M. (MikeM)
    Robert L. (Robert Lawler)
    Michael M. (MasterGun)
    Rick T. (RickT)
    Matt L. (OneMeanFormula)
    Jeff G. (81DaytonaPaceCar)
    Shawn C. (the_dragon)
    Ryan W. (ryanwarby01)
    Scott V. T. (92conv)
    Jake B. (dirtybird)
    Larry M. (Plum Nuts)
    Carl H. (steddy)
    Ken G. (GONEBYU)
    Will C. (Will)
    Patrick F. (pferris)
    Jon B. (NullHead)
    Chris O. (CJOFORM)
    David K. (97firehawk)

    Honorary Members:
    Brian M. (Meissen)
    Brian (bri2203)
    Kevin L. (KTL711)

If you have participated in the judging lanes at Camaro Superfest in the past, and I haven't listed you, PLEASE contact me, even if you don't own a Firebird.

If you send me the information requested above, please leave a comment in this thread, so I can verify receipt of information and confirm here. I will update the above list, as well as my hard copy of the membership roster. Again, there is no cost to join, you can join in person at our events as well.

You can also contact us by email at the following: mifirebirdclub (at) gmail (dot) com

Thanks for including me in the "tribe!"

If any of you have suggestions on how I could refine my logo suggestion, let me know.

Best of both worlds, buy a LS1 Bird.

Welcome to the Michigan Firebird Club! As far as your concerns about location, that is fine, since the bulk of our events will be taking place while you are in MI.
