  • MIFC Update 2009!

    Hello everyone,

I apologize for being so busy lately with the job search, but I am very excited about this upcoming season! It looks as though my dreams of being a Navy man are just too unrealistic but I found a job. The store manager at the local Alltel let me know I should have the job once the current hiring freeze is over. SOOOOO! I have some ideas for the club but I would like to hear your input.

    1. The Widetracker Spring Dust off is coming up before you know it. Who is going?
    2. Nesting of the Birds... How many of you can make it?
    3. I will need a list of all the current members of the MIFC. I owe you guys some decals and I found a place locally that I am working with to have some made.
    4. I would like to have a few club meetings at car shows. Can we have some ideas for ideal shows and destinations?
    5. I really like the idea of the WMCC fall cruise and don't see why we should miss out. How many of you would be interested in an MIFC cruise?
    5. Are there any shows / events we can help out with? I would love to help out with the Nesting of the Birds personally in any way possiible.
    6. What kind of MIFC items would you like to see for sale at the M&G? I have a box of shirts and will be ordering some more shortly. I hope to have spare window decals, maybe some hats or lanyards or keychains. Let me know and I will look into it.
    7. We need to reorganize the club membership to make sure we have everyone accounted for. I really want to find a club treasurer.

    Any other ideas folks?

It appears that they have moved the date of the WideTracks Spring Dust-off, it is now listed as a June 13th date. I would love to attend that show, but have committed to something already for that date.

            Just an FYI.

I found a good local vinyl place locally and have placed an order for club decals. They should be finished next week. I ordered the following colors:

            Silver
            Gun Metal Met.
            White
            Red Met.
            Rose Pink Met.
            Dark Green Met.

For the folks who would like one, I will post up a thread once I receive them.

I registered but never got an email or anything back, check and see if I am a registered member. How much are the club decals? Angie, and I ar planning to go to the nesting of the birds. Have not preregistered yet. I think a mifc cruise would be great. let me know about the membership.

I think what I will do for this year is give one free 6" Decal to each registered member throughout this year. With me moving 3 times this year my records are quite disheveled and it will be some time before I can get everything out of storage.

But if you want an extra decal for another car, a replacement, or a larger decal you will have to buy them.

As far as shirts, I still have many Ash gray shirts. But I will be ordering some black ones when I can find a good local screen printer.

any updates on decals? I see the website is now down as well. In addition, there is no reason you should front the cost for all the current member's decals. I would be more than happy to pay for a decal and I'm sure most others would be as well. A treasurer is very necessary if even for nothing more than just to set a paypal account up so that we can make payments for club items.
