  • *** Judge Cars - Make Money***

    Hi everyone,

I'll keep this brief. In looking at the calendar, we find that Camaro Superfest is only a month away. Last year Firebird Club members were given the wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with hundreds of beautiful show cars.

This year, the Firebird Club has been given the same opportunity to judge at Superfest. As such I am reaching out to anyone who would be interested in joining the Firebird Club as official show judges. I am looking for 10 responsible, confident individuals who have at least some expirience around fbodies.

To become a judge you must be available to attend the show for about 8 hours a day over the 4th of July weekend. It is imperitive that if you choose to volunteer you must be in attendance for the show judging. Once you have completed judging you are welcome to peruse the show as you choose or leave the show and come back in the morning.

This is an opportunity few people have had and is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity which you will be talking about for years.

    To apply,

please post up a short note in this thread mentioning your interest, your expirience. and a little about yourself. Also please PM me with your contact information including phone number, where you would be driving from, and be sure to clear your schedule for the weekend from work and any other responsibilities.

All proceeds from the show will be dispersed among each judge!

    Thanks everyone!

    -Ben Schall

THANK YOU MIKE! You don't know how good it feels to know that you will be there. We've got a month and counting, time to get people signed up. I should be able to come up with 2-3 other people. Mike if you know anyone who would like to join us feel free to invite them. I trust your judgement. I lost 3 judges I was really hoping would show up again this year but due to scheduling issues they cannot.

Post up people. This is an opportunity you will not want to miss!

Placed a call to one friend who is a "car nut", we'll see if he calls back. I'll ask around for more.

This is an awesome opportunity to get up close and personal with other F-Bodies. You get so many great ideas that can be transitioned to the Firebirds.

I did it last year and it was so much fun.

Unfortunately, I have prior religious obligations that weekend otherwise I would sign up in a heartbeat. I saddens me to see those with no prior commitment that pass this opportunity up by choice.

I hope you get some more volunteers Ben.

Hey Ben, my friend Randy definitely wants to do it, he just has to make sure that he is not already booked for either of those days . . . his girls are going to summer camp and he's not exactly sure which day he has to drop them off. I just talked to him again, he is checking with his wife and will let me know for sure later tonight.

I have another friend (Jim) who is into Chevys . . . he has a '66 Chevelle that he restored himself. I just talked to him and he would love to do it, but he's out of town on Saturday (5th.) He is available on the 6th, though, and he was really excited about it. Would it help to have someone who can just do Sunday? I know there might be a problem with that due to consistency over the two days, but just figured I'd ask.

Mike I trust your judgement. The more the merrier at this point. Although I would prefer to have Jim commit to both days since we need 8 judges, I know we should have a backup judge should someone fall through (Should we not need him on Sunday he could always come with and peruse the show while we judge.) I will see what I can do to accomodate him should he come.

Please see if you can get Randy to commit. I should have 5-6 confirmed judges by the end of the week so if we can find a couple more I would feel a lot more comfortable.

I am kind of surprised no one is jumping at this opportunity. Next year I will be sure to have judges committed a few months in advance, that is if I am still president by then...
