    MIFC - Newsletter Assistance, Please.

    Hello Everyone,

    As newsletter editor I am dedicated to bring the best newsletter content to this club as a whole. As part of this goal I will need assistance from everyone.
    • In order to fill Page 4 when we do not have club meeting minutes, for a particular issue, I would like to have product reviews in it’s place. I know we have purchased products that did not live up to our expectations or products that we tried and now we can’t live without them. We want to know how you feel about that product. Write up a review of that product and your review may be featured in a future issue.
    • We are now taking Ride of the Month submissions. If you would like your car to be featured as a Member Ride, please submit you vehicle information in a similar format as the current Featured Member Ride on Page 5.
    • If you have a Firebird Tech/How To Article that you would like to submit for the Firebird Club Monthly Newsletter it would be greatly appreciated. Your Firebird Tech/How To Article may be featured in a future issue.
    Please send all submissions of Tech/How To Articles or Reviews to me at mifcnewsletter@gmail.com.

    Submissions are reviewed and will be credited to the people that author them.

    wow this thing is gonna be big! ill see if I can pull something together, I think I had a freemod howto a while back that I did for my old air intake setup on my car.

      Yeah, it is going to be a fairly good sized newsletter.

      It will be:
      7 pages (5 info pages) on months that we do not have a club meeting
      8 pages (6 info pages) on months that we have a club meeting.

          Newsletter Tip: Use should always do an even number of pages, so when printed on both sides you don't have a blank page.

            Yeah, was just thinking about that last night just before I went to bed.

            Now I need to figure out what to put on that blank page when we do not have a club meeting. Maybe I will insert a page with the club merchandise on it.




            Ok, I received a good article from Jeff (81DaytonaPaceCar) that will be split between a couple issues of the newsletter. If any one had more submissions for the Tech/How To Articles please keep sending them. They will no doubt be published in future issues, since this will be a monthly newsletter.

              id just cut it down to 6 and 8 that thing is gonna be huge! heck the february wmcc newsletter is 6 pages total! we are talking 14 pages right now? that seems excessive to me, its not a textbook, can split info up over a couple months..

                No, it is not 14-16 pages. It is 8 pages (max) in the digital PDF (4 pieces of paper printed in duplexed mode).

                Most WMCC newsletters that I have seen are 6-8 pages in the PDF file (3-4 pieces of paper printed in duplexed mode).

                  We've (WMCC) have had up to 12 pages. If you notice though the last page is a cover page for mailing. You fold the newsletter in half and it leaves a place for addressing it.

                    (Sorry to make the pics so small, but I do not want to spoil the first newsletter with a premature release.)

                        Looks great! If I can help out in any way let me know! I'm pretty good in Microsoft office, some editing software, and have taken quite a few English and writing classes. Also an Auto service and management major!
