Membership chairpeople keep track of members, create new ways to draw in new members, and actively recruit. But if you are comfortable with West Side Photographer thats fine with me.

Hey Ben, sorry I didn't see this yesterday, been off the site for a few days. Derek is right, I'm actually an eastsider (thanks Derek!) I'd be happy to do the east-side VP, 'cept I thought Jeff wanted it. If he does, that's fine with me - I can do treasurer, or whatever else you think is appropriate.

I also don't mind pitching in on the membership thing regardless of which staff position you put me on, 'cuz primarily I am interested in getting some events going and building membership that way.

Actually Mike, you've come along just in time. Thanks man.

Oh and if you have any ideas please shoot them over.

I am planning on doing a small meet in Hines Park here in Plymouth. I found this really cool spot for a photo op and a generally nice place to meet. I will get out one of these days and snap some shots.

A Newsletter Editor is exactly that, a person responsible for editing and in some cases drafting short montly or quarterly newsletters for email distribution and publication on the web site. I think Dave is working on this position but hopefully he can chime in and give us some input. Dave you out there?

Sorry Ben, I just saw this thread today. I have been under the weather recently.

I have been researching several club newsletters for formating ideas. I will read over the Firebird Club Newsletter thread to better fine tune the formating and what members want to see in the newsletter.

How frequently are we wanting to publish the newsletter? (Monthly, Bi-Monthly, Quarterly , ect...)

                  1996 Pontiac Firebird - Blue/Green Chameleon - 3.8L V6 (231ci)
                  Totaled & Declared Dead: 08/07/2001 - Rebuilt & Reborn: 08/21/2002

FYI I compile & publish the monthly WMCC newsletter with MS Publisher. Seems to work great and is fairly simple to use. Our newsletter is made up and written by several people, they all send me their stuff for the newsletter. I then organize it and put it into the newsletter. I very RARELY write any articles. Most are written by Doug or other members of the club.

                      That is good to know.

We will need additional help getting articles together for the newsletter. Member input will be key to providing the best newsletter since each member has there own strengths in knowledge and trivia.
