Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I would suggest a list of club staff on the left hand border of the front page.
Dates of club meetings and meeting location.
So currently with out my suggestions we have above:
- Shows with club representation in attendance
- Show Schedule for 2008
- Member Listing
- News on the website, tshirts, and decals
- Featured car / member?
- "For Sale" or "Parts Wanted". (We can pull this information from off the Firebird Club Forum "For Sale" or "Parts Wanted" section if the website will have one)
- "Featured Article" Or a "Tech Article"?
- Firebird trivia
- Stats and facts - examples: how many pace car models there have been, production numbers by year, etc.
- Good sources / websites for parts (This would be a great place for sponsors)
- "event coordinator" contact info for Club Sponsored events.
Is this agreeable. Do we have any additional suggestion for what the newsletter needs or any comments on why we should not have one of these topics.
Just How long you plan of this newsletter being? Heres a few of ours.

I am not 100% sure at this time.
I do not want the newsletter to overburden the reader, but yet I want to make it worth reading too.
I think I am going to look at some of the categories that the WMCC newsletter is spit into and a few off-roading newsletters I get and just start writing ideas to draft on paper to get me started.
Thanks for the for the peak into what the WMCC newsletter looks like Gary. I defenatly like that format better than other newsletters I have seen.
I think I will look into getting a copy of publisher. I'll probably use the trial version I downloaded for the first edition so that I can save up. Microsoft has a way of making you feel sore in the backside after buying one of there products.
Dave, please locate a copy of the program you will need to create and arrange our newsletters. Let me know what it will cost and I will see if I can use club funds to pay for it.
Microsoft Word shouldn't be to bad to use for it. I'm downloading Office 07 Ultimate for $60. Anyone can get it, that is in school cause you have to use your school email address.

Publisher runs about $170. Thre trial version can be used for a long time. cause for some strange reason my computer always thinks its Aug 30th 2007 every time I open up the Trial version.

If I do decide to use and purchase Publisher I don't mind paying for it. My little brother has been wanting publisher for his school project for a while. I would not make the Club pay for something my family will be using personally too.
I may even check if Sun Microsystems OpenOffice has a program I can use. I just rebuilt my computer last week so I don't have all my old software installed yet.

Understood. Just don't want you incurring unescessary costs if you do not need to.
I am almost done with the first edition of The Firebird Flier.
I still have some pending questions that I need to get the answers to before I can release the newsletter. I am hopping to have it avalable by tomorrow evening.
