Hmmm ..... I've had none of that, either on my IROC-Z or my 2002 ???????

well, the fact that I was making my runs in first gear probably wasnt helping. 2nd was too tall to deliver the necessary power, so i went with the "overkill" option. But my power level is beyond what I should be delivering through a stock torque arm.

Thanks, Ben. Solo II/Autocross racing is definately a blast. Way more fun than drag racing (IMHO) and much easier on your car than drag racing. Banging, slamming and sliding your car around is the slow way, smooth is fast in Solo II. It's hard on tires, and somewhat on brakes, but pretty easy on rest of the mechanical stuff.
I am glad to hear that Doug. That sounds like a good fit for me for sure. I plan on using my bird for these type of events because I have enough invested that I do not want to hurt the car that much. I bought the '86 TA for drag race duty, I don't have much invested monetarily or sentimentally in that car so if something did go wrong I would not have all my eggs in one basket.

I can't wait to have my car back together again and for next spring to roll around. Spring training here I come!
