Well, technically you registered last week. Being that it's a club, there are club dues and such to becoming an actual member of SLP -- but we let you come out a few times to see what we're about before you have to pay dues.

ah, i remember this club when it first started..i think i was in like 11th grade..and danny poposki(sp?) was one of the main guys i think. He ruined that car club experience for me with his cockyness.. How have things been in SLP?

Yeah, unfortunately/fortunately that was prior to me joining; I joined and was really active this past year. Danny no longer is a member of the club, I only saw him once last year at one of the events. He's been trying to sell his car on ebay so he can put a downpayment on a home. That aside, this past year was great. Real fun, we had our weekly meetups at Mt Clemens but the ricers and wiggers 100% ruined wednesday's Mt Clemens cruise-in, so we started going to CJ Barrymores every Wednesday over on Hall Rd / M-59. Great atmosphere there, no ghetto thugs starting fights and putting broken glass bottles under people's tires...

im gonna give the clem another shot this summer, just to see if the morons cleared out... but i doubt it. that place went from a laid-back car gathering to wannabe thug fight club competition REAL quick.

Yeah, it's a real shame too. Mt Clemens has had that cruise-in for a long time, and now these thuggies are coming in there and entirely ruining it for all the older folk that's been going there for a long time. The funny part, too, is that it seems to be directly coincidental that the more ricers and low-riders that started going to Mt Clemens, the worse the atmosphere got. I remember the time I went back in 2004, it was a great time. We hung out over in the bank parking lot [taken over by ricers this year until the bank responded by blocking off the parking lot] and just hung out and enjoyed the muscle cars and hot rods cruising the streets.

All you have to do is race a couple of the ricers, they will leave

yea i attended mt.clemens maybe 4 times this past summer. It was full of ricers/gangter wannab's. I couldnt take it. The loud gay ass music blasting as they stood by their cars walking around spinning their rims like it was something special. Pfft
