  • Refinish Wheels

Is there a source that any of our club members or anybody else on the forum has used to refinish wheels. I have the stock wheels on my 94 Z, with some marks on them from the wheel weights, very little work needs to be done to them, I talked to a guy in Detroit, he's talking $100 per wheel...need to find somebody to compare with..

On a side note after buying countless wheel center caps off ebay but never finding them in as good of condition as I wanted I bought a set yesterday from a guy in Wisconsin that are brand new, never hardly been touched. My search is over!

Wow...you can almost buy a whole SET of salad shooters for $100. You can buy refinishing kits from Eastwood if you want to do it yourself. There's places that polish wheels but I'm assuming you just want to fix the marks on the machined surface and have them recleared?

There's a place in Ferndale MI just off of 9 mile called ReStock. they do really good work, we've taken a few customers cars there from my work. their prices range from what needs to be done, the guy took me for a tour of their plant one time when i was dropping a benz off there. they range anywhere from $50-$300 a wheel depending on if you just want a little curb rash fixed, or if there's entire CHUNKS of your rim missing, they can replace and weld wheels that you would think are no fixable, i'll try finding their site or number later and i'll post it up!

There is is a place at 11" and john R, I think it is call detroit wheel or something of that nature. They used to refinish corvette wheels for us but the owners switch hands and they didn't want to work with wheels that were worth $1,000 a piece.
