Had a dead battery. Car has been in storage. Was using a charging unit to try and start car (1999 Camaro convertible). Without touching window switch, the driver's side window did an "express down" and now will not raise up.
Installed a new battery, passenger window operates normally by both right and left door switches.
Checked for voltage on driver's side switch for both up and down and checked out ok.
Next step in factory service manual is to check for proper voltages at selected terminals of the power window control module when moving driver side window switch up and down.
The manual says the module is located on the "center of dash mat above floor tunnel".
I removed the center console and tried to look up and behind the radio/ac control area of the I/P, but couldn't see the module.
Has anyone here ever had to find and remove the module?
I could use some guidance as to where it is and what, if any, parts of the I/P I may need to remove to access it.
