Here are some engine formulas to help you along with stuff. Feel free to add more formulas also.

To calculate cubic inches to liters:
    cubic inches / 61 = liters
    liters x 61 = cubic inches
    350 / 61 = 5.73 (round down to 5.7) 5.7 liters
    5.7 x 61 = 347.7 (round up to 350) 350 cubic inches
To calculate cubic inches using bore and stroke:
    3.1416/4 x bore^2 x stroke x cylinders
    3.1416/4 x 4.00^2 x 3.48 x 8 = 349.84 (round up) 350ci (stock LT1)
To calculate estimated head horsepower potential:
    .275 x head flow x cylinders
    .275 x 223 x 8 = 490 for LT1 heads roughly
    .275 x 290 x 8 = 638 for AI 200cc heads
    To calculate Compression Height:
block height - 1/2 stroke - rod length - deck clearance
    9.025 - 1.740 - 5.700 - 0.17 = 1.568 for stock LT1
To calculate Piston "in the hole":
deck height - (rod length - piston compression height - 1/2 stroke)
    9.025 / (5.700 - 1.568 - 1.740) = .265"
