  • LT1 Liquidation Sale! 94 Formula LT1/T56, 93 Formula LT1/700R4 Parts Car, & parts!

Alright guys. Its time to move on, I have decided that I can't keep sinking money into my LT1 obsession, when I could be putting the time and money to better use restoring a classic. The LT1 cars have held a soft spot in my heart for a while, but I really want a classic car, and selling off all of the LT1 stuff I've amassed over the years is the only way to go about making the switch.

Please bear with me, Im trying to post this from an iPad.

First, my 1994 Formula. Its an LT1/T56 car with t-tops, dark grey leather interior, in Purple Pearl Metallic. This car is quite clean, given that it has 163k miles. It recently started grinding when shifting into 2nd, so it will need some trans work. Also needs a new MAF, has a hesitation down low. Mostly stock, but it does have a K&N FIPK CAI, Magnaflow Cat-Back exhaust, cat was deleted, and its running BBK Stainless Shorty Headers. Will have a stock Pontiac cassette deck at time of sale, and needs a couple new speakers. Interior is in good condition, only one TINY tear in the driver seat, and a split seam on the driver seat bottom. Some scratches in the paint on the passenger door, chips on hatch and driver side quarter panel, and fading clear coat on the side mirrors. Aside from that, and some paint flaking of the center caps on the wheels, its in fantastic shape. Ill post pics when i can connect with my laptop. Asking $3,000 for the car alone.

Second, my 1993 Formula parts car. largely complete, still has drivetrain in place. Will need a new ECM, head gaskets, and a battery to make it run. Could be made driveable again, but some parts have been taken off, which i can list for anyone whose interested. Pacesetter Long Tubes, ORY, and SLP 2OTL cat-back with 3" cutout on the car. Has some rust issues, will point out to anyone whose interested. Asking $1,200 for the parts car.

Full set of tubular control arms (front upper and lower), I believe they are BMR parts. Painted red. Excellent condition. Rear LCA's w/ relocation brackets. UMI adjustable torque arm with DSL and tunnel mount crossmember. KYB AGX Adjustable shocks (front). Spohn STB in red. New front strut mounts, ball joints, and a bunch of other parts. All suspension parts for $1,500. Just add a steering rack, tubular k-member, rear shocks, coils, and you have brand new tubular suspension.

2 spare sets of stock, complete, untouched LT1 heads. $175/pair.
Gunmetal Grey painted LT1 intake manifold. $125.
Canton Racing LT1 fabbed aluminum centerbolt valve covers. $125.
    Chrome centerbolt valve covers. $75.
OEWheels C5DD wheels in 17"x9.5"/18"x10.5" staggered, some damage, but still look good: $450 w/ junk tires.
1.6 NSA stamped roller tip rockers $75

TONS of other parts. If you buy everything, and haul it all off in one day, its yours for $6,000. That includes both cars, all the aftermarket goodies, and every 4th-gen/LT1 part I have in the garage. Rip the band-aid off quick, the pain will end quicker.

Also interested in trades for a 1st or 2nd Gen Firebird/Camaro that needs some work, but is driveable.

Would consider trades for a decent 3rd gen as well, although I'm more interested in a 2nd gen. Other 60's and 70's muscle cars may be considered as well, but honestly, cash would be preferred.

Pics to come, for details, PM me.

Alright, more details about the '94 Formula. . .

    New parts:
    Water Pump
    Optispark
    Plugs
    Wires
    Oil Pan
Timing Set (38k miles on it)
    Header Gaskets
    O2 Sensors
    Starter
    Fuel Pump
    PCV Valve
MAF Sensor (Autozone reman part, going to try exchanging it, runs better with a working used Delco MAF)
    Throttle Position Sensor
    IAC Valve

A/C blows cold, heat works great, t-tops leak slightly, but only in serious weather. Heavy rain doesn't cause leaking, but severe storms will cause some leaks.

I'm the 3rd owner, never been wrecked. Very little rust on the car, I'll point every last spot out to you if you come take a look.

I average between 22-27mpg Highway cruising in 6th gear, around 12-18 city (I have trouble staying out of the throttle, to be honest). The minor hesitation is there, but as Mike S. said, it's EXTREMELY minor, if you are riding in the car, you likely won't notice it, but when driving, it is noticeable. I have confirmed it is caused by a junk MAF sensor. If anyone has a known working used one cheap, I'd entertain the idea of buying it just to get the car running right prior to sale.

Trans is grinding into 2nd on hard shifts. If you shift slowly, it doesn't do it. I'm guessing 163k miles have taken their toll on the driveline, and the trans may need replaced/rebuilt in the next year or so. It's still driveable as it is, but I wouldn't plan on any racing or hard shifting until that's done. The clutch will need replaced in a year or so also, engagement/disengagement occurs right at the top of the pedal's travel, and so far, it's holding well, no slipping yet, but I'm sure it's got a ton of miles on it.

Rear end makes no noises. Brakes will need replaced (pads and rotors), has some nasty looking drilled/slotted rotors on front, I was planning on replacing with stockers, but never had the time.

Rims have some paint flaking off the center caps. I planning on having them blasted and powdercoated when I replaced the tires, but again, the money was spent chasing mechanical issues. It will need new front tires ASAP, rears could probably survive the rest of the season, but I'd plan on replacing them as well.

I ran a compression test on all 8 cylinders. They are within 5psi +/- of each other, and in the 192 range. Engine is in great shape.

Pics are below, I only have a few, I'll snap some more in a couple weeks.

Make an offer on the whole thing. Only asking $1200 for it now, but I'd take $1k cash, and it has lots of aftermarket goodies. Heck, its got $600 worth of rims, leather interior, and I'll toss in some extra parts to make it worth your while to come relieve me of the car. clear title, too. . . As far as I know, it's never been wrecked.

To be honest, I'm tempted to list this all on Ebay, as I've had some interest, but I need to get rid of this stuff pretty quick. Looking to get new tires for the Monte, make a move on the open chamber heads, and get it paid off ASAP.

LOTS of parts available, the '93 could be running again for about $300 in parts. needs the heads removed, replaced, and installed properly. Forgot to mention, i installed new LS7 lifters and LT4 valve springs in the '93 before I parked it. If I continue to entertain offers on specific parts, the parts car will just wind up parted out and scrapped, and I think it could be saved. Im not saying it matters to me either way, but Im looking for a quick sale, and with my limited time at home to pull parts, it just makes sense to sell the car as a whole.

Michael, on the 2OTL, make an offer. I dont know what they go for either. I know mine has a 3" cutout positioned under the pass rear seat, and I have an electric cutout I'd sell also, so if you're intested in the whole shebang, I'm sure we can figure something out.

Sorry man, they are already spoken for. The suspension stuff went fast!

Update: All tubular suspension parts (Up./Low. Cont. Arms, PHB, STB, TQ Arm, Rr. LCA's, Relo Bracks.), Canton Racing valve covers, and SLP 2OTL Exhaust are spoken for. If anyone wants the '93 parts car, I'd take $1000 for the car. With every other LT1 part I have, I'd take $1500. '94 is still priced at $3,000, had a few bites. It's back on the East side now, Belleville area, so if anyone is interested and wants to come take a look, let me know, and we can schedule a time.

Possibly interested in parting the '93 out, if anyone is interested in anything on the car, and isn't afraid to get dirty helping me remove them, I'll cut you a deal. I'm trying to get some space in the garage cleared out, if you need anything, let me know, and if I have it, I'll make it worth your while.

Positive feedback has been left for all buyers this week. I'll be home Monday for a few days, if anyone is interested in taking a look, or needs parts from the '93 parts car, let me know. I still have 2 sets of heads, a painted LT1 intake, pile of spare parts, and a bunch of other stuff laying around. Just want it gone at this point, if you need anything, shoot me an email at mifirebirdclub@gmail.com and I'll let you know if I have it.

Also, I'm selling a set of 17x9.5" front and 18x10.5" OEWheels C5DD wheels. Don't have any pics, slight curb rash on one, and there's some damage to the inside of another. Still clean up nicely, and would look great with some work. Asking $300. Have tires mounted, but they are just about junk.

Cars are still for sale. Taking offers on everything. Going to replace the Opti in the '94 again next week, it's been showing signs of failure again, so im going to take care of it before I sell the car. The '93 is officially being parted out. If there is anything you want/need off of it, let me know, and we can arrange for you to come take a look.

$2,800 or best offer for the '94. $900 or best offer for the '93 parts car. Make offers on everything else.

You'll have to pull it, I dont have the time, equipment, or patience to pull it myself. $400 for the motor and a spare set of heads? IDK, make an offer.
