Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Read all the posts, to the end. You won't believe how this ends ............
Raises the question, "What really makes a "car", the body, the VIN, the paper work?" :reidneer2:

I think its great! If you are going to restore any car why not make it a nice one? An fbody would constitute as a nice car in my book anyday, especially a vintage limited edition fbody.
The real question is what stops that guy from removing the VIN tag and placing it on an average Camaro?
Which is exactly what he'll do.
I have somewhat mixed feelings on this...but as you are really not creating another '67 BB pace car, but just reintroducing the real vin back into the field, is this really a bad thing? Would you rather just see the death of such a rare car because there was nothing left of it other than the vin and cowl tags?
I'm all for restoring where possible, but that thing was beyond hope.
Props to the guy that found the heap and recognized it for what it was.

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
if thats what it originally looked like... wow (again)
Yep, that's it. Unknown number of them built...best guesses are between 103 to 200 total (possibly more...nobody really knows) that were configured with 327 engines (alledgedly only for the 10 small blocks sent to Canada), 350s, and 396s (11 of these went to Canada...none of the Canadian cars have been found).
It should be noted that after the initial two releases of these cars from the plant, dealers started cloning them by ordering RS/SS white convertibles and putting the blue stripes and stickers on them (further clouding the exact number made).
All in all, there were likely between 40 and 80 actual big blocks built.
The known remaining number you can count on two hands.
A very rare F-body.
