• Job Shadowing - Mechanical Engineer

    Hello everyone!

As the title states, I'm looking for someone to job shadow. This is mandatory for my senior year at my high school and must be 40 hours of shadowing. Would like to keep the commute under 30-40 minutes if possible, but I'm willing to travel for the right experience. I would also prefer someone who works in research and development as that is what I am mainly interested in. Thank you!

If you are open to doing this you can send me a private message or just respond here. Thank you again everyone!

Thanks Jeremy! Anything helps, also forgot to add that the shadowing will be done in the fall semester. So it's not anytime soon. Just looking to make a connection and get all my ducks in a row.

As someone who works in R&D, this could be a challenge as I cannot share specific details of what I do with other departments outside my group, let alone outside parties/companies.

It is good you're starting to try to find something now.

          Best of luck.

Same here. I almost got to job shadow someone who worked for GM on the Volt team, but the day before, they canceled it citing insurance reasons too.
C2YT Call Denso, they are in Southfield I believe. I have a friend who works there. They might be able to help you.

I know this is a difficult field to try and job shadow, but I figured that it cant hurt to ask around. Thank you everyone!!
