  • Identify parts..?

20140809_163448.jpg20140809_163517.jpg20140809_165450.jpgCan anyone identify these parts for me. 1979 10th Anniversary has been sitting in my garage un-assembled for 20 years and am just getting her back together. I obviously don't remember where these go or what their purpose is.

Anyone have access or copies of some dealership illustrations such as "1979 Pontiac Service manual", Fisher Body Service Manual 1979" or "76-81 Parts illustration Catalog"...?

    Thanks

Just thinking...if anyone has a 79 T/A and lives in the Clinton township area, I could stop by and look at the engine compartment and front nose assembly to see where these parts are located. I think the top picture (black bent rod) is located near A/C compressor. Second picture (tubular bracket) is located on front drivers side of block and houses some kind of hose or wire harness. Third picture I believe has something to do with front nose assembly or rad mounting. Not even sure if these parts are critical. any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks,

That would be a 79 T/A with 400 if it matters...

If my memory serves, the tube thing is for the pos battery cable to run through, pontiac used that on a lot of their motors, it mounted on the front of the exhaust manifold stud.
I believe the other bracket is a alternator brace.
The last picture has me stumped

I'm not good with 2nd Gen parts, but maybe Jeff will see this and lend his expertise.

#2 is the battery cable tube. It goes on the drivers side head. Front for 400, back for 403. The 2 large brackets in the last pic are nose to core support brackets. Not sure what the center piece is .
