The one Comp gave me was wrong.

I just ordered some Felpro Viton ones.

Comp gave me a wrong number, summit won't refund since they're opened.

As low as you can get it without it wanting to stall. There isn't a set number. There are more parameters in the tune that effect the idle than the just the idle speed. I have been in cars with shitty tunes that idle at 1,000 RPM's but still want to die when you put it in gear. Same car goes to a different tuner and will idle down to 800 and never think about dying.

      • I got the measurements for my pushrods. Looks like I need some 7.100s

        Lloyd reconmended these

They say for use with guide plates, will I be fine not using guide plates?

        • If you are running Non Self Aligning rockers you must use guide plates. I am not sure if you are running self aligning rockers.

          • I'm using self aligning Comp Ultra Pro Magnums.

Also, I want to relocate my aftermarket autometer oil pressure sending unit to this hole

            http://shbox.com/1/aux_oil_port.jpg

It's the big one like this

            http://media.photobucket.com/image/a...VC-001F-18.jpg

think it'll fit? Will I get accurate readings if I have to use any 45 or 90* bends?

Could I use a stock LT1 sending unit in place of it?

            • I can't comment on that because I have no clue about oil gauges on a LT1. Well guess I know what I will be reading into now.

I had it a T fitting with the autometer and the stock one, and I did not like how I read.

                • The stock one coming off the back of the intake manifold? I would assume you would get accurate readings as its right above the oil filter.

                  • Just did some reading that is where everyone is taping in their oil pressure gauge. It's. 1/4NPT and you need to use thread sealant.

                    • I knew that much, Just was not sure if mine would fit, and if the angles would change readings.

                      • On the topic of measuring pushrods, do you need a solid lifter if you have oil pressure?
Say I crank the engine over via the starter, build say 40psi or so.
The lifters do not sink down, do I need to put a solid one in?
I consistantly got 7.1" readings, cranking it over with the starter.
