Thanks Jon. I have some "idle" time now that the hulk is at the painter's. (I know how you feel Brent ) I am doing a little f/g modification to the Ram Air portion of the hood. Seeing that this car is not going to be a daily driver, I have decided to open up the hood intakes as much as possible to make it pleasing to the eye. I will have a snap in panel just in case the weatherman was wrong!
First, I bonded a some flat stock in place to get me the general shape (post above ). Then I took some spray foam to create a base for my f/g in the corners. The messy part followed with laying-up three layers of f/g to create my overall intake shape. The tedious job will now be to make all that mess smooth enough for a gloss black finish. I don't want a transition line and need to have it smoooooth all the way to the back wall. We'll see!

Well, while that was drying I started to cut out for heat extractors at the rear of the hood. I am going to bond in 1 1/2 tubing and flush it up to make it a straight shot out the rear of the hood. I suggested to the boys that maybe some blue led's would look sick in the tubes but they had both shrugged their shoulders!

Abuse is a good character builder.

What the hell do I mean?? Oh yea, "get out of the water if you can't swim with the above."

Well, we brought home the body from paint today, FINALLY!

Now how does it go back together?

A photo-op with my son's car before shoving it back into the garage.
