Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Ok, now that the weekend shenanigans are over with, its time to get back to serious work!
The wiring is complete and the engine assembly went up with a breeze.
That was kinda different, but neat way. I always lowered car onto engine sitting on dolly. Then did bolts on kframe, then picked it up and put on jack stands, etc. As long as it works, cool!

A little more progress today. It took longer to put the darn front suspension together the in did to install the engine!
We wanted to get this thing on the ground today and roll it out of the garage for a little "mind candy."
Finally, after 6 months of being couped-up in the garage, the project sees the "light-of-day" We put the front fender in place to see how the stance looks. The front is 1" higher than the rear. I cut about 1 1/2" of both front and rear springs. I like the rear look but the front needs to come down further. Although, with the new poly bushings, lack of doors and other weight, it may drop a little further than what it is now. I will wait until I install everything and drive it a bit to see if it will drop further. We definitely want to suck it down further.
So far, no clearance issues with the Kooks headers. We'll see what happens when it comes down another inch.
I tried to "tuck away" the proportioning valve.
Don't ask me why I installed this!

wow looking good, those doors weigh in at probably 150 lbs for the 2, rest of front is all plastic stuff though, I would be suprised if front comes down a 1 or 2 inches.

Yea your right Larry, I thought I would load everything and then do my final ride height adjustments.
Today I wanted to prep the roof & rear quarters in case my painter buddy calls me and says he's ready. He should be getting close with the final door.
I knew it wasn't going to look pretty, but I long boarded it and definitely the quarters were repaired in its younger life. (Dirty job! ) I still need to do the shut faces (doors and hatch) tonite, maybe!
By the time the painter is done, it should be straight as a glass table.

We FINALLY finished up on the brake/suspension detail and installation, front and rear! This took longer than planned. Still waiting on painter to finalize the door so then the body can go bye-bye.
