You should be able to have the whole assembly together. I've only done LT1, but LSx can't be that different since it has to fit in the same engine bay.

When we put the LS3 in Davids Trans Am we had the Motor fully assembled with headers and trans and just dropped the car onto the kmember.

Hey Brian and Nathan thanks! That's good to hear because we wanted to bolt together whatever we could to save on knuckles afterwards.

As long as the headers fit well then you shouldn't have a problem. Again, on an LT1, but I've done it several times with a couple different brands of headers. Just take it slow and constantly check for clearance and adjust as necessary.

And beautiful project btw! I love seeing builds like this with attention to detail.

                  Hey thanks.

Now for a little modern Pontiac - The big brown truck just dropped these off and of course they will need to be modified. I already reworked the fuel rail so the fuel line enters at the rear instead of the side of the fuel rail cover. Then the GTO script will need to be removed, painted and hmmmm?

Nice looks as your making great progress. When you drop the body on the kframe/engine is best to have engine on 4 wheel dolly for movement and adj. 3 people are best for job, one on each side and one to lower the body and watch the front. OBTW we also had engine wire harness installed before we installed engine.

Larry thanks. We must think the same! The orginal 3.8 engine and trans was lowered out of the chassis on a cart and the new powerplant (as seen in previous pictures) is already loaded on that same "home made" cart.

I'm glad you said "3 people" because if you would have said "4 people", I would have to recruit my daughter or wife and they would not be cool with stepping into the "MAN CAVE" garage.

Picked-up another piece of the painted puzzle today.

Very nice build you have going there.

Did you find that 3.73 rear on LS1tech? There was 1 in Flint I offered the guy $150 for... He respectfully declined my offer
