Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
do you really think Jason and the guys at katech would have anything to do with an old school SBC motor at all???!!! come on now LSxPERTS don't mess with that old stuff
There's a yellow one around me, that's got a 350 in it, needs a new trans the trans in it is for a truck not a car. It's yellow IROC has silver Iroc decals, the interior needs some work, the body has very little rust if any at all on it. Has new tires on it. I think the guy wants 2500 but told me he would let it go for 2000

Actually this is for a personal project and it will have a cheap old fashoned SBC. It's a replica project I'm working on with Katech heritage.

Those are going to be the hardest parts to find, especially in a V8 for under $1000.00.
If you find it, you better take the day of work and camp out at the guys house so you can be the first person to look at it.
But if you are up for the drive, look down South, might help with the no rust part.
I wish you great luck in your search.

So for the TBI comments, though I perfer a TPI, I picked up a TBI project car whos TBI engine has crap loads of power. Not sure if they modified it or not, but the Cam sounds stock, but I know it would blow the doors of a stock 305 TPI of the same year.
I have never been a huge fan of TBI, but this one seems pretty nice.
Currently Owned F-Bodies
1994 Firebird 3.4L V6 SPI, T5, Black with T-Tops and Leather Interior (Daily Driver) 1985 Trans-Am 383 Stroker Carb., Black with T-Tops (Hobby Car) 1986 Trans-Am 5.0L TPI, Blue with T-Tops. (Project Car)
i just sold two hardtops for under $1,000 but they were junk. unfortunately all i have are t-top cars. a 91 for 2k and a 92 for 2.5k.
anything under $1,000 will be in very bad shape. if your going to cut out the floors then i guess it doesn't matter. i'll keep an eye out as i usually pick up one a month.

Don't worry about it. I'm going to forget this project for now. My next planned purchase this spring is going to consume all of my resources.
I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! I DONT WANT AN ENGINE THAT IS PARTIALLY POWERED BY MY LAPTOP BATTERY!

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
