  • lt1 6speed in 85 iroc

i finally started working on my other project car again today. The motor and trans are currently sitting in the car just not hooked up. The lt1 wiring harness was sent away to become standalone and is back and today finally tore out the dash and started getting rid of all the wiring i dont need. Its been a slow project just ask kammi but its kickin again. Probably need about $1500 to finish the project for now to be drivable but untill i come up with that money i want to get everything else ready.

did some more work yesterday, i removed old pedal assembly, was auto car but had to drop steering column to get it out. The new pedals out of the 95 z bolt right up exept i had to drill the bolt holes larger but no major mods other than still need to cut hole for clutch master cylinder assembly to go through firewall. Also ripped out sound deadener that was behind the dash man is that stuff heavy. Also removed old speedo cable.

Have fun cuting the hole for the Master. Make sure you get it right or else the rod coming out of the master will want to bind against the housing and will fail early. My suggestion is to start with a small hole you can feed the rod partially through to check alignment.

Yeah, it's pretty tricky to get the alignment of the rod/master cylinder to the pedal right. I fussed with mine for awhile, ended up elongating the holes slightly to get it right.

did u have to drill out the top holes of your pedals to fit over stock bolts?

Yes....I think I may have drilled all four holes out slightly....I know it was tight getting them lined up.
