Hello everyone. What carb size should i get for my zz4? The car has a 4 speed and 4.10 gear. The only modification i plan for the engine is to put a hot cam in it. I am calculating max 650 with a top rpm of 5800. Please let me know what you think. Doug

I'd recommend a Edelbrock 600 p/n 1406 with electric choke. New will run you about $200. Very responsive. Very easy to set up and calibrate. Only thing that I had to watch out for was throttle cable placement...the Edelbrock ended up needing a significantly shorter throttle cable from the Holley I had on there before...about 3 inches shorter to fully engage the secondaries. Still ran fine off the primaries.Originally posted by 67rsss View PostHello everyone. What carb size should i get for my zz4? The car has a 4 speed and 4.10 gear. You're probably right with a max of 650...I wouldn't go any bigger than that, but that's just me.Originally posted by Redd8407I WANT NOISE! SPEED! If you go to www.holley.com there is a carb selector in the upper right hand corner. Never used it, but its there.
The Edelbrock carb #1406 has a suggested retail price of $275.http://www.fquick.com/csmith4153

I think it's a good choice. A 750 seems like overkill. However it may limit a little airflow on the top end, maybe that's why they recommend it.
