  • New to F Body

Ok I am new to the F Body club. I am working on converting my dry NOS system to a wet system. I have a 1999 TA. It has a SLP 402, heads, cam, rear end and so on. I have been unable to spray the car becuase the map sensor can's take it. (or I have been told). So here is my question. I am looking for a good tuner. Names and numbers would be great. Also I have been told to have two tunes done to the car. One for NOS and the other for street driving. What so I need to have to store both tunes and who will teach me how to cheange them?

Map sensor or MAF? They probably think the MAF will be maxed.
I use a Timing Tuner to pull timing and control the N20 on my car

yea I think they might be talking about your MAF. What size dry show were you doing that it was maxing it out?

For tuning, what tuning program are you going to be using? You can also use those timing retard "happy knobs" to retard the timing when you are going to spray.

the timing tuner is the only timing controller available for LsX's
you can use Efi live, HP tuners, or ls1edit to change timing in the program

the problem with tuning is if you don't have your own software them the timing will be taken out all the time. sean at CARS may be able to make a flip chip that will hold two programs.
I have my own tuning software but still use the timing tuner cause it has a window switch(which is highly recommended), delay, and timing control all in one unit

yea your better off getting your own software for sure. Great investment for anyone modding a car, especially with nitrous or FI
