I went to the parts store and got a tranny mount for my 83 Trans Am. He said it was the right one, but when I got home I went to Energy Suspensions website and checked, but they dont even have a part # listed for a 3rd gen under tranny mounts.
The part # I got is 3.1108G
Has anyone else used the Energy Suspension trans mounts on their 3rd gen?
I just replaced my mount 2 weeks ago and already destroyed the new one, so I figured I'd better get a good one. (Yes my motor mounts are good, no clutch chatter, and no wheel hop)
I have had horrible luck with stock type mounts, seems like every time I race someone and slam it into second gear the mount rips right in half. Betweenf my two birds its happened about 6 or 7 times.
