  • Bank of America Phishing Attack

Apparently, someone hacked MiFbody.com's server. Some of you might remember a few days ago / a week ago when the site was down during the morning. The account password was changed, which I thought was just a strange occurance and didn't think too much of it. Apparently, it was a big deal.

Whomever gained access to the server created a subdomain bankofamerica.mifbody.com and then proceeded to mass email a phishing scam to tons of people. Bank of America was notified of this and sent an email to my host's parent company, who in turn went down the pipeline and unplugged MiFbody.com's server. We're back up and running and I've also hired a management company to secure and lockdown the server.

Sorry for the downtime, trust me it was not fun for me either.

No it's like a company that knows what is vulnerable to attacks and what isn't and makes it so the site is more secure and won't get hacked as easilly.

That's what actually kinda scares me. I had a password that I thought was pretty secure.
