  • Easiest way to add fluid to a T-5

    Hey Guys,
    I need to add some fluid to a Borgwarner T-5 in my Iroc.
    Any tips for the best method ?

    fill hole in the side

      pop ths shifter off and fill from inside. lol. Not reallt that easy unless your stuff is all apart. But like matt said there is a fill hole on the side. have fun.

          tony there is no other way. you either tear off the shifter and fill it from the top or you pull the fill plug and do it. I usually use a piece of hose attached to the oil bottle to help get into that tight spot.

            -pull the upper plug out the side of the trans

            -pop the hood and snake your hose/funnel combo (just like a beer bong!! ) down the firewall and into the hole.

            -Fill

            -Replace plug

              Get yourself a small squeeze bottle....that works the best at getting to the fill hole.
