Basic Tuning

Not exactly sure where to post this topic up so I will just do so here. I would like to remove the air and egr when I install my headers, but would need somebody to tune that stuff out then. I would also like to just have the rear 02's tuned out as well instead of running simms. Anyone know where I can just have these tuned out without paying an arm and a leg? Any price ideas....

someone with a 98 hptuners license can do it here on the boards. I could get the license but it would cost me $100 for the 2 credits. There are some 98 guys here though that have hptuners on the east side that could probably do it for ya.

Also we have a meet and greet coming this June and you could get someone to do it then to if needed

Since your on the east side, I'd take it to Sean @ Collins Automotive. He can easily do it for you.

I most likely will be doing the same thing this spring.

Its $100 for an off road header calibration and we credit %50 towards a future all out tune for heads/cam etc modifications.

So $100 to tune out the Air/EGR/Rear 02 sensor's only (I'm not complaining) or does that also include some tuning A/F etc. to optimize the headers? Just curious you have me hoping for the better!

Sean is a great guy and will take care of you for sure but if it doesn't work out I'd be happy to take thopse codes out for ya, just gotta borrow the HPtuners and laptop from Jon.

Ok good stuff. I'll be in touch with you in awhile then. I am throwing the headers on when they come in, and then I'll drive/trailer the car out for the tuning probably around the start of April (fingers crossed!) when the car comes out for the season. Thanks for the answers.

-Oh yeah, and do you guys do any exhaust work? If so, I am looking to have somebody fab up some true duals either under/over axle this spring.

Yes I can Fab up true duals but its not gonna be cheap and it requires modifying the floor pan. Lots of work. If your that hungry for flow get a 4inch system. Or i can run a dual single side system and split it at the back of the car using an X-flow muffler. Thats still not cheap but cheaper then me sending the car to the body shop to get the floor pans mods done.

ahh screw that, I'll focus on the LT's and tune for now. We'll be in touch in about a month or so.
