Ronnie and I are all set to go, taking the "REDLINR", and have reserved rooms in all those hotels Al listed.

I know one place I want to stay though for sure, I think its in Springfield, the Route 66 hotel.

The tour stopped there in 05, and we were down the road from that place then, unfortuantely.

it seemed as if the entire tour went from the fair grounds to that hotel.

Awesome town ,lived most of my life there.in the '60's -
70s I use to terrorize the streets in my '67 Camaro SS .Two one-way streets use to be the strip .One started at a Big Boys & went clear thru town to a A & W,Thats when they still had the girls doing curb service.Brings back a lot of memories

The 66 Motel is right after the Stevenson Drive exit about a mile on the left going south on 66.The fairgrounds are way on the other side of town off of Sangamon Ave& Seventh St..

True, but shouldn't matter, it is a sweet hotel....and it's is car themed. If I remember correctly, there wasn't a whole lot to choose from and everyone stayed on that side of town.

Heck, look at where they are staying in Kzoo...they're not, they're driving down to 3 rivers.

The reason the Three Rivers Hotel is on the list, is that most of us our coming home that night, those further away are staying down there cause alot of our WMCC club members, that are party people, live near Three Rivers...

And we all belong to the Hoilday Inn Priority club ,members get points...

I GOING, and planning to do the long haul. I'm have reservations at all of the hotels AL listed except for the Kalamazoo stop. I will be staying at my home in Three Rivers that night which is less then 30 minutes from the fair grounds.
