  • LT1 airfoils

Hello all! Need some help here (again!), espeically the techies! I've looking at airfoils, made by various vendor from Holley to SLP. Their price range from $36 to $70 and claim a 7hp gain. Are they worth it or a complete waste of money? Anybody got one? Just think it's a cheap mod if it works. Thanks.

Yeah from what I've heard and seen thats pretty common on the L98s and the LT1s, but I think most people do that and other mods at the same time, so no one really knows.

My Z came with one. I think it is a good idea. The stock tb is not designed well. It has 2 deadspots that probably cause a lot of turbulence. The airfoil should fix this issue.

I need to do this too, I bought one but the mech. stole it instead of putting it on the car.

what kind of pricing can you get on those?

also... does your [dads?] shop across the street do front end alignments?

yup he does alignments, your truck need one or something?

As for pricing, is there a certian one you prefer over the others or not really?

wouldnt really care on the airfoil.

my truck doesnt need one now, but i might crank the torsion bars up a bit on it, so I would need one then to straighten the camber out. if you could PM me a price on that that would be cool.

I was thinking of either JET or SLP. I like the JET because of it's polished (if airflow is the concern, might as well get the smoothest surface you can get), or SLP just based on brand reputation. I don't really care for the polymer ones.

I'd be interested if enough people are in for the JET, otherwise I can other one from summitracing for about the same price. SLP can be bought at some local shops in the $30s
