Ive heard from a few people that it is best to change your origanal plugs to NGK TR55's. i went to auto value and they said they have no listing for this plug. where is the best place to get them? did i just get a dumb ass at auto value?

I got mine at Advance, I'm sure Autozone, pep boys, probably even Napa has them.

I would run the stock ones as long as they look good and it runs good, I wouldn't run them 100k though, I don't care what they say, that's a lot of miles. I personally figure anything over 50k miles on a factory plug is plenty. The NGK TR-55 are a great plug (switched to them this year myself and saw an improvement) they are inexpensive and are the plug of choice. However, you will need to change them every 20k or so as they are just a standard copper plug. If you want longer life get the TR-6 iridiums, they will last longer. The TR-6 is also the plug that is used/recommended for Nitrous, blower, turbo applications too. FYI.

yep...sounds like you found yourself a dumbass

i actually just got another set today...figured it would be a good time to swap the plugs while the headers were still off, and the valve covers were off too.... cost like $20 or something for all 8. you can get them at murrays or napa...when i checked autozone, the guy said they carry NGK's but wouldn't even be able to get the TR55s for whatever reason? so i just went about a mile down the road and got a set from Murrays

Seeing as I only put about 5k on my car per year I'll be changing mine every 2 springs I figure. For $20, if you want to change them even though you don't have many miles on your car, why not.
