  • gear installer cheapest i found...

got my gears installed by a local guy for 125 dollars and they are richmonds. when i bought these for 300 from detroit speed (3.73's and the install kit cause my pinion bearing was going) i was told to expect noise but the gears r suppose to be some of the best around.

the guy has a car lift in his garage and he charged me 125 and he shimmed them and everything spent a good amount of time on them and there is next to no noise if the windows are down u can't even hear it.

now about 500 miles later the noise is completely gone.

if u want more information pm me.

very happy with the work and the price was the best i found.

ya its hard to find a good rear end guy there is only one in town i trust others just slap them in without shimming them correctly and they are worse than what you start with... thats a good deal though i paid 150-175 range for my last set i had done

if it were a standard differential i wouldent mind playing with it, but i dont have any experience with the limited slip in my car

that's good you found a reliable source. i always go to Scott At Driveline Solutions. i paid him $125 for my install as well!

then when my 3.73's in my 10 bolt were on their way, i got my 9" setup from him! and the other day i had a little problem with a small leak, and he replaced 2 seals for free!

That's good that your is workin good though!

yeah. my 9" doesn't make a peep...the only time it makes some noise is on decel from anything over 80. and it's not even that bad. my 3.73's in my 10 bolt were actually noisier then my 9" believe it or not!

The 9" is a great rear, isn't it?
