  • Update onthe 9"

well the BMR Torque Arm Mount doesn't fit perfectly on the new rear end....as can be expected putting a "dark side" ford part in one of our cars lol...well anyways it was no big deal just a little grinding...here's some pics of it....the shear size of it all is overwhelming still for me....it's cool i can't wait to get it all together!

also i started to bend some new brake Hardlines today...someone on LS1tech said "well i just bent my stock one and zip tied it all in place" well after dropping 2 and 1/2 G's on this setup i don't want any ghetto ass zip tied brake lines. so im bending new ones that follow the contour of the new rear end. the first one is perfect....now i just need to get everything wrapped up...with out further ado.....this is my "progress" for tonight!

these are the two parts i had to grind down a bit

this is the whole Torque Arm Mount and the part that bolts to the 9"

A 9" is pretty damn good, but its not unbreakable.

Dont be tooooo hard on it

it's not unbreakable...but it's good for low 10's. if i want it unbreakable, i'll have to put a spool in it. but this will do me just fine for now. considering Scott (guy who built it from Drive Line Solutions) has the same setup only with a spool and he has 420+ big block cubic inch's of nitrous breathing fury in his 3rd Gen iroc putting down 9's! and he's running HUGE slicks on the back and he hasn't had problems with his!

I had to cut the outside set of holes off the TA bracket so I could use the inner holes. Most of the time the TA hits the trans tunnel if you use the outside holes

ahh larry don't say that! that's not good. the inside holes on the TA are closer to eachother and don't fit on the Mount anyways? and i can't even get either one of the inner bolt holes to line up because the way the TA mount it made. i dunno i can't explain it. but it would involve a TON of grinding to make fit...oh well i'll see what happens soon!
