Up for grabs is a 27" RCA home theater self-stand TV. our family is upgrading. Still works good, occasionally has a discoloration problem that is fixable with a power cycle. Nothing special but has pretty deluxe features for its day (92) and includes remote.
Post/PM if interested - i'll give it a day here then ill try motown and craigslist.
Located in Macomb (Ray twp). You have to come pick it up.

ouch lol. but i meant it would defeat the space-saving benefit of using an LCD by putting it in a monster console stand.

ha ha yea... i wasn't trying to be offensive, but you can easyily spend $20,000+ to restore a 3rd gen and have it be worth 5-8,000.
A few years ago at work we restored a FOUR door 1955 Chevy 210, Inline 6, 3 on tree. The resto was about 60,000 complete and the car is worth 15-18,000 MAX! But to the owner she would do it again in a heart beat as her grandma bought it new and she drove it as a teenager.

Ouch is right and you usually dont find too many people putting $20K into a thirdgen camaro but they can be built and restored nicely for the money... I mean we could be saying the same thing about modding a LT1 car couldnt we?
Anyhow someone go and take this TV of Joel's hands...lol

not offended or anything by any means I am not sinking 20K into my car or even close to that amount just whenever someone can take a stab at a thirdgen they can. I mean I have seen MANY thirdgens that are nicer then 4th gens and 5th gens but the same can be said for any generation they all have their nice things and bad things... I just so happen to love thirdgen camaros and birds...
bump for joel!

Restore them now while it's cheap to do so...or be the whiny SOB trying to restore a 69 Camaro and is *****ing that it costs $750 for a fender...
But back on topic...that tube TV will probably run without a hiccup for another 10 years...

 um so can a lot of thirdgens... Take seans car for instance it dont move right now but one day it will eat LT1's all day... and there are many fast ones out there as well.

i was speaking of modifying stock third gens like i assumed you were speaking of modifying stock LT1s  idk i guess LT1 can refer to both a body style and an engine. An engine swap in anything can obviously level the playing field.

True, my bad. But along those lines you could modify a 350 in a iroc pretty extensively as well as a LT1... ;-)

hm, i go in this thread looking for a discussion about TV's and somehow its on this topic. Don't even talk about seans car because nothing performance wise will be stock lol. In fact it will be a TT LSX, so your point is completely invalid.:-|:D

Boy talk about hi jack. Darrens right when someone pokes at a gen and puts it down its the car and style not the engine. and this argument will go on for ever.
