If you really want it and you can somehow pull off financing it, I say go for it! If it's really gonna screw up your budget, then you might want to wait. Either way, thats a hell of a deal!

I'd wait, 450 is kind of high for nitrous kits. I see them for lower pretty often. Although there are some good extras included with that kit which are costly, so it is up to you if you think you need a window switch and zex purge light and want to pay that price.

Gah its a dry kit. Thats a good way to melt up your pistons in a big hurry. Look for a wet kit!

Exactly what I was thinking. . . I wouldn't spend $450 for it anyway, I like the Camaro/FireChicken (lol) because of the status symbol that comes along with ownership of one, and I don't need any help getting pulled over. . . lol I think that NOS is about the best "Bang for your Buck" mod you can do, but some people, like me, have no use for it. . . Let us know, you could probably get a dry kit cheaper somewhere else (Have you checked EBay?), but it is ultimately your call.

Id only be using 100 shot at max the stock pump and injectors would be fine for that I hope. I would have to change the plugs. I mostly want it for the purge it is sooo cool and I'd have to use it once in a while. It would just be sooo intimidating to ricers when I pull up next to em, SS badge lookin at em in the eye, Cutout open(this summer when I get it) revving the engine, and a purge coming out the hood. muaaahhhh. Although the SS scares most away anyhow.

Hells Yeah! The sight of any F-Body should scare the spit out of them, but even double for the SS!

I have to be the devils advocate, but if you're mostly buying a NOS kit just to purge and look cool, that sounds kinda.. well... the r-mentality. If you just want a cool purge effect, get some like compressed air or something and hook it up to purge out.

Get the nitrous to use it, not just purge and look cool like most ricers do. Sounds like a decent deal with all the accessories it comes with but I'd wait for a wet kit if dry kits sucks like mentioned, I don't know personally. The last thing you wanna do is blow that motor of yours, then all the rice will laugh at you and have reason to bash amerian cars.

lol the funny thing is that most people don't know wtf there talking about and think theres a huge difference. You'd be amazed how many people look down on my car after I tell them its not a WS6.

it's true. The SLP team didn't change much. It's mostly the name people are afraid of. I'ts only like a suspension upgrade and such. Not much more. Same engine etc.

But i still wouldn't get anyting other then a Ws6

Ya you hardly ever see an SS around id say when I see a camaro 70% of the time it' v6 25% z28 and 5% SS. They only made like 6,000 my year.

Thats true, but thats not what I meant at all. I didnt mean all kinda SS's as in gobs of them, i meant all diff models. Cobalt SS's, everymodel SS lol.

I dunno about you 4th genners but the third gen WS6 meant something. I dont think it was an SLP job, it was just a pontiac package for bigger sway bars, stiffer springs, higher ratio steering box, bigger rims.
