Been having some issues with No Heat since last Winter
The Cooling system has been flushed but it was about 5 yrs ago when I replaced the water pump. Anyway I don't think it's a clogged Heater Core only because I do get intermitent heat on occasion and both Heater Hoses have pressure and and are Hot.
Anyway also today while driving home from work I was playing with the controls and it seems that when the fan is on high and the temp knob is at cold (all the way to the left) it blows with good velocity but when you turn the Temp Knob to the right to Hot the Velocity drops and it doesn't get warmer either. I personally don't think the Velocity should change at all with just closing the vent and going totally off the heater core, There is obviously some kind of blockage in the duct or maybe the vents aren't opening and closing properly.
Just looking for some fresh Idea's, Should I change out the HVAC controls and see if that solves the problem ?
Car is 10 yrs Old with 128K miles.
Obviously Flushing the heatercore is an option aswell but the HVAC controls just doesn't seem right to me.
