2010 Camaro
Early Ordering Activity Surpasses the 5,000 Mark !!
In just over a week, Chevrolet has received over 5,000 customer sold orders for the 2010 Camaro! We are extremely pleased with the initial response, and a little surprised with some of the early order configurations. For example, over a quarter of the orders submitted has one of the factory-installed or LPO stripe packages. These early orders are providing a very unique insight on initial demand, and are being closely monitored within the organization to ensure adequate material supply.
One of the early issues with this activity is the absence of visual images for some of the features and options. The issue resolves around the lack of production intent images since the activity has started well in advance of the start of production. To assist in answering some of the various customer questions, we have enhanced the "photo gallery" section of Chevylaunch.com with various images including wheels, accessories and the seats of the Inferno Orange Accent Package. Some of these images are not high-quality, production correct; however, due to the demand for at least an "idea of what some of these features look like", we decided to post these images and provide access to our salespeople around the country.
The opportunity to submit bona-fide sold orders has also generated a fair number of questions. The Frequently Asked Question section of Chevylaunch.com has been enhanced with answers to some of the questions that have been submitted over the last week. We would strongly encourage you to continue to review this section to get the answers you seek. If an answer is not there, please use the "contact us" feature to submit a question to the team.
Would You Like A Chance at the Third 2010 Camaro?
To honor the absolute beautiful design of the 2010 Camaro, Chevrolet has granted Detroit's College for Creative Studies (CCS) an opportunity to purchase the third 2010 Camaro to be produced when regular production begins in February 2009. As part of its annual fund-raising event, the College has elected to auction this certified third Camaro to the highest bidder through eBay Motors. Last week a letter from CCS's Vice President, Nina Holden, outlining this opportunity to own a special piece of Camaro history was sent to all dealers. Please review your GM Global Connect portal for the letter, and visit eBay Motors to submit a bid. But hurry, the auction ends at 9:30PM (EDT) on Saturday, October 25.
NEW 2009 Camaro Single Line LPOs!!
Chevy is pleased to announce these great Single Line LPOs for the Camaro in the US:
The Dealer has the choice of either installing and receiving an installation labor credit, or having the ADI complete the installation.
Ordering:
The Camaro single line LPOs are available to order via the Workbench Configurator.
There have been several questions regarding descriptions for the single line LPO‟s. Descriptions of the LPO‟s and the entire portfolio of Camaro Accessories can be found in the Dealer Order Workbook which is housed on chevylaunch.com.
A majority of the questions that have been taken were related to the Ground Effects package. So included below is the description of the Ground Effects Package.
Camaro Ground Effects
Enhance the bold styling of your new Camaro with the Ground Effects Package. The package contains a front splitter, side rockers, and a rear diffuser with integrated exhaust bezels. The SS front splitter had its surfaces tuned to maximize down force via wind tunnel testing. It is available in dark argent metallic.
