  • 4th Gen Rear & Brakes on 2nd Gen

Just wondering if it is possible to run a 4th gen disc/coil spring rear end on a 2nd gen? Are there any conversion kits for this?

What about front 4th gen ls1 brakes? I know there are these conversions for 3rd gens but not sure if they are possible on a 2nd gen.

    thanks

    Hi Adam,

I am not sure about a complete rear end conversion, but I think you would be better off just converting the exisiting rear end to a coil over or other aftermarket suspension because your existng rear end should be much stronger that the 4th gen. Regarding the brakes, I have 4th gen rear disks on my RS, the only thing I cant remember now is if they are LTI or LSI brakes. I have aftermarket brackets but I beleive you can use the factory 4th gen brackets. If I remember right you need 2 calipers and 2 brackets from one side since 2nd gens have staggered shocks. Do a search over at NastyZ28.com and I think you will find what you need if you havent already. Good luck
