  • In need of a full tune!

OK since I put my new motor in my car I have been having a ton of trouble triyng to get this thing in tune. I can get it to run good for about 10 to 15 minutes but then it just doesnt have the power it did. What I need is a good place that can give my car a full tune from my timing to my rockers finally being adjusted right, to my carb. If anyone knows of a good place that has experience working on race engines could you please help me out and let me know. Thanks

How far are you willing to travel? My dad's buddy is a pro at tuning cars just like your's and would do it for practically nothing. It wouldn't be a dyno tune or anything but he tuned another buddies car and took it from running 12.30's to 11.90's on tuning alone!

the reason for that is probably because the car is running in open loop (no oxygen sensors) while it is warming up. Once the oxygen sensors kick in, something is off. you can test this for sure if you unplug both 02 sensors and it runs fine (but very rich and therefore terrible mileage)

I know that probably doesnt help you any, but just throwing that out there.

How far is it? I'm about a month away from getting it done it looks like now because my dd needs some work. But if its not really far id be willings to bring it. Ive got a 20' trailer that I take to the dragstrip with. But yea let me know and maybe i can get it over to him here in the next month and finally get this thing running right.
